Who is Tim Mai?
Tim immigrated with his brother from Vietnam when he was 12 years old. Together they grew up in Section 8 housing, where they faced numerous challenges for survival. During college, he dropped out because of an IT job offer, but the dotcom bubble happened two years after, and he lost his job. He started venturing into real estate was because he learned that most self-made millionaires were real estate investors. After 20 years in real estate, he stepped into multifamily commercial real estate. He currently resides in Houston with his wife and their two teenage boys.
