In the premiere episode of Season Two, the hosts chat with Renata Simril, President and CEO of the LA84 Foundation and Play Equity Fund. Renata shares her personal story and how her own experiences led her to run an inspiring platform and community dedicated to bridging gaps in the play equity movement.

As someone who was once that girl in need of more opportunities to play sports, Renata has taken pride in being at the forefront of systems change, providing kids with increased access to sports and play. She continues to show up and serve as a bridge builder throughout the LA community.

Together with the Center for Healing and Justice through Sport (CHJS), Renata and her organizations are on a mission to create a more just, equitable, and healing-centered sports system for all. Tune in as Renata discusses her journey and the important work being done to ensure every child has the chance to experience the transformative power of play.
