On today’s F.A.CT.S. podcast, host Kevin talks with guest speaker Rachelle Antoine, a transformative social worker, educator, advocate, and mentor. She believes that change happens when people are given the guidance, adequate tools, and support that they need to draw on their strengths and realize their full potentials to live. Rachelle has worked tirelessly in her community to empower and increase youths’ knowledge, self-esteem and confidence. She uses arts and music to help youth recognize their strengths and tap into their passions. She believes that would help them see themselves more clearly and empower them to build on their strength. Rachelle is a writer and is currently working on a book titled “A Domino Effect Arrest.” She runs a music program called Rachelle’s Music Academy, where she teaches music theory and band instruments. Additionally, in the future, Rachelle hopes to return opens different youth organizations across the world. Rachelle hopes to return to her homeland of Haiti to advocate on behalf of the residents and focus on the many issues that are affecting young children in her native country.
She currently works as a Senior Community Outreach Specialist for South East Queens, NY. Rachelle also worked for the New York State Assembly as a budget director and community liaison.
