The latest attempt at expanding gambling options in Alabama garnered a lot of our state legislators’ attention during the recent legislative session. 

One angle used in the promotion of expanding legalized gambling was the idea that the illegal operations could finally be shut down because the new legislation would allow for regulations not currently in existence. 

When we heard this reasoning shared, we wanted to understand more about our state’s current gambling laws and how they are or are not being enforced.
