This week we move into the New Testament with a story Jesus told about the table. Though the table may have become less central in our busy lives, it was the place for gathering in the times when the Bible stories were being lived. In many households, days began and ended at the table as they did when I was growing up. Jesus invites all of us to the table and like all invitations, we have to determine for ourselves if we are able to make it. Jesus' story about table will be our place to begin on Sunday.
