The Black Experience is now Table of You.
After 4 years and 100+ episodes, I'm sharing why I'm rebranding my podcast. This is my official rebrand announcement. The conversation was never about me. It's always been about the guests. Table of You is exactly what it sounds like: me sitting across the table from someone else, hearing their journey and their story. The Black Experience started with my goal to amplify Black creatives here in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Thank you for staying with me, seeing my podcast journey, seeing my growth. Welcome to the channel. Welcome to the team. Glad to have you.
Through this journey, there's 4 pillars my podcast has really run through:
1. Faith — my faith in Jesus Christ, my foundation
2. Growth and Resilience — overcoming failure, loss, and unexpected challenges
3. Storytelling — telling people's stories and what those stories mean
4. Culture — my Eritrean heritage, food, family, and Tigrinya episodes
This isn't a goodbye to The Black Experience. The mission statement isn't changing — we are more similar than different as human beings. This is expanding it so we can tell more stories from people of different walks of life.
Stay tuned for more awesome episodes, for new series, for more awesome conversations. New episodes every Wednesday 12pm PT!
