How do you respond when life falls apart?

It's easy to follow Jesus when life is going well. But what happens when you're betrayed, misunderstood, falsely accused, rejected, or deeply hurt? In the final lesson of our Walking in His Footsteps series, we journey from Luke 22 to the cross, discovering that the greatest display of Jesus' character wasn't found in His miracles—it was revealed in His suffering.

As we walk through the final hours of Christ's earthly ministry, we'll witness His unwavering faithfulness to the Father in the Garden of Gethsemane, His compassion toward those who arrested Him, His silence before His accusers, His forgiveness toward those who crucified Him, and His love for others even while enduring unimaginable pain. From Judas' betrayal to Jesus' final words, "It is finished," every moment reveals the heart of our Savior.

This lesson reminds us that pressure doesn't create character—it reveals it. Jesus didn't suddenly become loving at the cross; the cross revealed the love that had always defined Him. His humility, obedience, mercy, forgiveness, and unwavering trust in the Father remained unchanged, even when the world gave Him every reason to respond differently.
