The CPSC and 5.11 Inc have recalled Tactec™ Plate Carriers, style number 56100.  The quick release cable may separate from its handle preventing timely, safe removal of the carrier in an emergency situation.  About 45,170 of these weight carriers have been sold nationwide at 5.11 Stores, Rogue Fitness, Galls, Kroll International, and other retailers as well as online at 511tactical.com.  Immediately discontinue use of these recalled plate carriers and contact 5.11 by phone at 1-866-451-1726 or online at 511tactical.com/product-recall to receive a free replacement cable.
