In this episode we sit down with Jake, Dan, Alan, Kyle, and John P. to talk about their training going into the Maine and Chicago Marathons and how each race went for each person. Sorry it took so long to edit/get this posted but hope you enjoy nonetheless. 

In this episode we talk with Jake and Ryan about Jakes second marathon of the year Sri Chinmoy in New York. Ryan sits in as Jakes coach throughout his training and talks about the plan he had Jake on. Jake talks strategy and Scott listens to a different training approach than he is used to. Jake ran this marathon as a last chance effort to qualify for the 2020 Boston Marathon after falling short at Bay Of Fundy earlier in the year. Listen in to hear how Jake did. In this episode we sit down with Ryan and Dave to talk about what their training and goals are going into Last Man Standing, an ultra marathon that happens in Maine on Labor Day weekend. Dave is also my coach so we talk a little about how coaching has gone for me. This is the first podcast where I have done no editing at all so this is the raw cut in hopes to get out more content. Hi everyone, sorry for the delay in episodes, motivation has been low and training for the Chicago Marathon took precedence. Now that it is winter in Maine hopefully the podcasters can get together more and put up more content. This episode was recorded back in June but in this episode we sit down to talk with Jake Norris and Todd Michaud about their race The Bay Of Fundy Marathon back in June. We touch upon race strategy, training philosophy, milage among other things. Hope you enjoy. In the next episode we sit down with Ryan Metivier and special guest David Kesterson to talk about there upcoming ultra Last Man Standing happening in New Gloucester, Maine

Welcome to season two where we are in a bit of a transition phase and are working to get more guests on the podcast and have changed our line-up of podcasters. Throughout the season you will hear from Scott, Alan and Jake hosting different guests from around the Maine area. So here we go onto our second season, sit back and enjoy!

In this episode we sit with Jake Norris about his upcoming marathon the Bay of Fundy. We talk about his strategy and mindset going into the race and what preparations he has done to set himself up for a good race.

In the next episode we sit with Jake and Todd Michaud to recap how their marathons may have went well, what went wrong and we get an idea of how Todd approaches a marathon. 

In this final episode of season one we sit down with guest Kyle Simmons and chat about the benefits of marathon training and capitalizing on the foundation that you have built up during your training cycle. We also talk about gearing up for the next season after the marathon. Kyle and Alan also talk about their experiences at Boston this year. Jake also chimes in with some questions as a beginning marathoner in regards to plans and trying to qualify for Boston.

With the conclusion of Season one we will be starting season two with a new host line up and more guest speakers. There will be the same amount of beers and banter. Stay tuned as Jake, Alan and Scott gear up for a series on conversations with many interesting personalities.

In the next episode we talk with Jake Norris about his upcoming marathon Bay of Fundy. We talk about his training cycle, his preparation going into the marathon and his thought process having only been his second marathon. Jake, we wish you the BEST!

In this episode we talk about tapering for races, mostly the marathon being that this was recorded a  week before the 2019 Boston Marathon. Alan, Kyle Simmons (our guest who is running his first Boston) and Scott each talk about the different methods that they have used for training and tapering for the marathon event. Jake Norris also sits with us who is also a local runner making his way back into running and will begin training for his second marathon.

In the next episode we will have a more free flowing conversation with Kyle Simmons, Alan, Jake and Scott. Some of the conversation revolves around the outcome of the Boston Marathon. 

Alright I know this seems like a special treat to be getting two episodes so close to one another and no it is not Christmas I just have had some time to finally edit past recordings. So in this episode we talk about the Boston Marathon. Once again we have Ryan Metivier as a fill in who has run Boston a number of times and gives his perspective on what to consider when lining up at this special race. We also have another guest Jake Norris for this episode who will be making an appearance in coming episodes. 

In the next episode we will be talking about tapering and the different philosophies of each person.

Hi everyone, sorry for the hiatus from posting but we have 3 episodes that are in various stages of editing and hope to have those out soon. In this podcast we are going to talk about what it feels like to be on the other side of an injury. We delve into how someone's outlook and personality can be different when injured and how it can change once recovered. How it feels to be able to get back into workouts with training partner. Furthermore I would like to announce that one of our fellow podcasters, Wes Danforth will not be present for the remainder of the year as he is in basic training for the Air Nation Guard. In his absence we introduce Ryan Metivier, a local runner who professionally is a Chiropractor. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the podcast along with a different perspective that listeners have yet to hear. We hope to make more consistent podcasts but without further ado, here is our podcast on "the other side"!
