Taiwan's most famous female chef is probably Fu Pei-mei (傅培梅), the first person in Taiwan to host a cooking show on TV. In honor of Women’s Day (this coming Monday, March 8), we’re going to shine the spotlight on this incredible woman who hosted a TV show for more than 40 years and wrote over 30 cookbooks! She even has her own Google Doodle, and a mini-series about her life on Netflix.
TODAY'S MENU: In our first course, the incredible story of Fu Pei-mei. In our second course, Andrew heads into the test kitchen and attempts to make one of the dishes featured in her show (a la Julia and Julie). And in our third course, we'll sample that dish in the studio! Would his effort make Fu proud?
