If you're like me, it's so easy to become a people pleaser. In today's culture we are pulled in 10 different directions and we simply can't do it all. It's our default to tell everyone in our life YES because we don't take the time to think first. Taking a minute to pause, breathe deep and check our schedules can help us from reaching a place of exhaustion.

Taking a deep breath can also help us control our emotions and thought patterns. We all deal with those unexpected moments throughout the day that can throw us off. The Bible teaches us that sometimes instead of fighting we should practice stillness. We need to pause and take a deep breath, which will then help us to properly respond.
