Everyone reaches a point where they question the steps they are taking. “Am I going in the right direction?” “What if it doesn’t work out?” Still, you take another step.
When you’ve been taking a lot of steps and nothing seems to be moving you in the direction you want fast enough, what do you do? Do you keep plugging? Do you give up?
Sometimes it’s as easy as getting to a new landing and turning around for another perspective? Here’s a simple example… how many times have you been looking for your keys when you have to be out the door in 10 minutes. You go around the whole house trying to recall the last time you had them. You try to retrace your steps. They lead you back… and the keys aren’t there. You turn around, and there they are. What was the simple shift in focus that allowed you to find them?
Allow is a key word here, don’t you think? When you give up the fight, or intense focus, something else emerges.
Where can you give yourself permission to take another step in a new direction?
