One of our core values is Gospel Over Performance. After Adam and Eve rejected God's rule and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they realised they were naked and felt shame. Their response was to sew fig leaves together to cover their nakedness. This is a picture of the default tendency of every person's heart to try to cover their shame through performance-based righteousness. God's response provides a much more enduring solution.
