Henna is a highly respected global leader with more than 25 years of experience leading innovation across digital/data in high-tech, CPG, risk management, and insurance industries (across P&C, specialty, life, health, retirement, consumer, commercial, brokers, vendors, and independent agents).
She has led businesses and advised Fortune 100 companies on digital innovation and disruption and has designed and developed patent-pending technology and applications in the field of genetic algorithms, behavioural analytics, deep neural nets and digital data technologies.
She's joined a couple industry large companies. Most recently, I was at Google and ran the global insurance and risk division for products and solutions on the Google side. And right now, I've been on couple public boards and a couple of private boards, so she's spending most of my time on the portfolio side of thing

Erin is on the boards of Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) and ARC Justice. She has previously been on the board – and Chair – of Financial Rights Legal Centre.
Erin Turner is a consumer advocate that works with governments and regulators to make markets fairer for Australians. She is the CEO of the Consumer Policy Research Centre, a think tank that looks at emerging issues and how markets impact on people.
Erin has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Politics and Public Policy and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Jo is a contemporary governance specialist and seasoned board chair experienced in commercial, government, SME and NFP settings. She is an Australian Institute of Company Directors Master and Fellow, and holds an MBA majoring in leadership, communication, strategy & planning.
Her value proposition lies in creating enabling, high-performance environments where boards partner with their organisations to supercharge aspiration and collective strategic nous to deliver beyond traditional boundaries. Robyn is a Board and Company Secretary, published author, governance advisor, teacher and mentor. In practice for 18 years across of range of industries (from banks to emergency health) and legal structures (listed, unlisted and government), she is currently board secretary at the Future Fund, Australia’s sovereign wealth fund current worth $280b. Robyn has also worked in corporate insolvency in Australia and New York in securitisation and corporate credit.

I'm continuing to work through the not for profit governance principles released by the Australian Institute of Company Directors in April 2024. Julie is on the boards of Dam safety, New South Wales Lupitz, which is a tech startup, and the New South Wales Correctional Services, industries, community Consultative Committee. Julie is a boardroom specialist as a company director. She has experience on a range of boards within the not for profit governments and commercial sectors.
Her previous boards are just too long to mention here. You'll need to look her up elsewhere, but she may be familiar to many of you as the author of the director's dilemma newsletter, which is read by directors all across the globe. Julie has a degree in civil engineering, an executive MBA, a graduate diploma in Applied Finance and Investment and a Diploma of company directorship and an Advanced Diploma in company directorship.
She's done a lot. Plus, she's authored a range of books. And I'm so pleased to have you on the podcast today, Julie, to have a chat about board reports.

This week on the Take on Board podcast, I sharing my recap from the Climate Governance Forum in August 2024. It’s sponsored by AICD and these events are always fantastic for learning and networking. This year was no different.
Some of the major moments for me are when speakers emphasized the importance of climate governance as a critical transformation since the Industrial Revolution. So we need to pay attention.
There were takeaways that are important for boards: including the recent passage of a climate-related financial disclosure scheme, mandatory climate reporting, and the integration of sustainability into business operations.
The forum highlighted the need for organizations to understand their environmental footprint, set targets, and address stakeholder views. The importance of nature-positive principles and regenerative practices was also stressed.

Today on the Take on Board podcast I’m speaking with Dominique Hes about how an organisation that has never had a long term strategy got started.
This is a ‘bonus episode’ in the Take on Board deep dive into strategy. Dominique reached out to me with a good story to tell, so we’re here to share it!
Dominique is on the board and Chair of Greenfleet. She has formerly been on the boards of Living Futures Institute of Australia and Trust for Nature.
Dominique is an author, educator, policy advisory and regenerative thinker. She started researching and writing on regenerative development, biophilia and placemaking in 2005, working in sustainability since 1994. Her focus is on real projects, on the ground and all the messy conversations that enable it to evolve and resolute with place. She is a board director and chair of Greenfleet and on the Circular Economy Ministerial Advisory Group.
