I came across a quote that reads:
Living with fear stops us from taking risks, and if you don't go out on the branch, you're never going to get the best fruit.
And another quote by Dr. Ruth Westheimer that reads “...in order for the turtle to move, it has to stick its neck out. There are going to be times in your life when you’re going to have to stick your neck out. There will be challenges and instead of hiding in a shell, you have to go out and meet them.”
If we could all take inventory on our lives and look at the number of times we’ve taken risks, what would we come out with?
How many times can you honestly say you’ve stepped outside of your comfort zone and taken a risk?
Do you have a track record of doing so?
Risks means taking a chance, trying something new, and possibly failing or succeeding.
The big part here is possibly failing, many of us don’t want to fail so instead we stay where it’s comfortable in order to avoid failing.
However taking risks and chances is one of the most crucial ways of advancing in skills, gaining knowledge as well as experience.
