1 Samuel 3 is the perfect example of how to recognize the voice of God.

We we go back to the history of Samuel and How his mother Hannah before Samuel was born was praying for a son.

God give her Samuel, and she dedicated Samuel to God left him at the temple for the son to serve under Eli.

One day as the boy Samuel was laying down God call him. He did not know the voice of God so he ran to Eli 3 times. Eli understanding that it was God tell the boy Samuel how to respond to Him.
