Terrilynn Short is a Divisional Chief Executive in Halma plc’s Environmental & Analysis Sector. She is the chairperson for a portfolio of Halma’s water and optical analysis companies. In this role she focuses on both organic and acquisitive growth. Prior to joining Halma, Terrilynn was a Vice President and General Manager at SPX Technologies with P&L responsibility for the Marley Heating division. She led the go-to-market and new product strategy as well as operational improvements to deepen customer relationships to accelerate growth. She previously worked at ITW where she led the Global Solder Materials business unit for the Kester division. She had global P&L responsibility with operations and employees in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. She helped transform the approach to key account management and product innovation supported by an optimized global operations capability and footprint.
Prior to ITW, Terrilynn led the Kenmore laundry and dishwasher businesses at Sears. She oversaw the reinvention of Kenmore brand across all touchpoints from positioning to logo to product design to packaging to go-to-market. This included launching award-winning products across all major categories and a trailblazing social and mobile marketing campaign and an award-winning advertising campaign. Prior to joining Sears, Terrilynn was a consultant in the Boston Consulting Group’s Chicago office, where she was a member of the Consumer and Retail Practice Area. She has also been a Brand Manager at Yahoo! And, she was formerly an investment banker at Lehman Brothers and an investment analyst at St. Paul Travelers. She has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a B.S. in Systems Analysis from Miami University. She lives in the Chicago area with her husband and two sons.
