Yesterday, during a conversation with an Uber rider, I realized HOW MUCH inherent value there is in starting a simple conversation with someone. Asking where they're from, inquiring into what they do, asking where they got that cool jacket from. It can really start (and end) anywhere. And why do you have to know where it will go? It's pretty liberating when you stop worrying about knowing the destination of a conversation and just get into it. Thus is life, actually. I have learned, little by little to be more comfortable starting conversations with people, cause YOU JUST NEVER KNOW. Maybe the conversation will go nowhere.
