Woody and I are getting ready to close up our summer home here on the St. Lawrence River. It's always a little bittersweet for us. The temperature is dramatically changing, just like the color of the leaves, both are falling at the same time! 

But this year, we are excited about living in Puerto Rico for six months! It's going to involve a lot of work! We will be challenged with some obstacles that will be in front of us. The fact that Puerto Rico doesn't have the best electrical grid is a big hurdle! One of the first purchases will be a generator. We are very thankful to have our friends Kim & Dick already there! Their knowledge of the island and how to navigate what we need to do, is comforting! ♥️
With all of this going to happen, I have decided to take a break from my podcast. I need to focus all my attention on making our condo our second home. I also want to take some time to put together more quality episodes for you to listen to.
Along with starting season 2 for Nearest And Dearest Podcast, I also will be doing a special edition of episodes that will be about an island right across from us here in Northern NY! The island's name is Carleton Island and it has quite a history! I will need some time to research it. There is an old villa that is deteriorating that is a piece of the island's fascinating history! It has finally been bought! The new owners are excited to restore it!
My goal is to be back releasing new episodes in February 2023. In the meantime, I will be re-posting a couple of my favorite episodes.
