Taking Care of Your "Queendom"

Listen Later

I once her Jill Scott reply to a questions that was asked to her while on tour with Erykah Badu.  The question was "how do you feel going on after Erykah Badu"?  Jill answered so beautifully and eloquently that "We have our own thing and that's the magic.  We all come with our own strength.  We are our own Queendom.  My strength can never compare to hers, and her strength can never compare to mine".

In this episode I talk about how to take care of YOUR Queendom.  As women we are naturally givers, nuturers and caretakers of so many things, and even on this "beauty break", you may find yourself still going out of your way to serve others, when in reality you must serve yourself first.

To be honest, I was pretty excited about taking a break from my day to day routines with the hope of completing outstanding projects, getting rest and spending quality time with my family.  Let me tell you that, that lasted only for so long before I found myself in a rut.  I had to find inspiration and motivation during these times of uncertainly and social distancing.  Let me tell you how I found my way back.

There are Categories in your personal Queendom and in this episode I share 3 and they are:

1. Body

2. Mind

3. Spirit

I break down each category and give you ideas and tips to serve yourself. I'm only teaching from experience and sharing what I did to help get me out of the rut I was in.
