The massive groundswell of revival in Acts was mingled with insults dealt with the apostles by others who considered themselves believers. There will come a day when we can experience pure and unadulterated joy, but that day will be in heaven. In the meantime, we as Christians will take punches when we reach people for Christ. Most of those will come from other Christians. This side of heaven, the only alternative is to stay on the sidelines and not share the gospel with as many people as possible, but such passivity results precisely in our status quo.
