Taking Responsibility - An OBVIOU5 Voice - 008
“Letting our kids know that it's okay to fail, and a lot of the kids nowadays, I don't think they quite understand the fact that failing is a part of life. Failing is a part of learning, and you learn from your mistakes, and you learn from not being able to save the princess on the very first try.”
“Don't let the depression get you down. Do me a favor, learn from those mistakes. Talk about depression, talk about how you're feeling, one thing I have noticed is a lot of you guys out there, a lot of the next generation coming up the Gen Zed and the millennials, you're a lot more open to talk than a lot of the older generations. I applaud you for that don't ever stop. It's okay to talk.”
“I look good, I felt good. And I felt good. I played good. It's just something that was part of me, and I've taken that with me all the way through. And I believe that's a special part of being dapper. Dressing for success is a huge thing. You want to dress up, you want to look the part, and you want to go out there and crush your goals. When You look good, you feel good. When you feel good. Everybody else sees it.”
“Dad tip of the day. Accept responsibility for your life. How many times have we made excuses for something that's gone wrong in our life? We need to stop that sh*t right now. Take responsibility for your life, for your actions, for something that you let happen, or something you've done yourself. Taking responsibility is step number one. The person down the street, they can't live my life for me. Whatever position I'm in right now. I take full responsibility for that. The choices that I made in the past; I take full responsibility for that. I am where I am today because I take full responsibility of that.
And the positive part is, I am where I am today, Because I take full responsibility for that. “
