“The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth…” (Genesis 6:5)

Many of us are familiar with the story of Noah’s Ark and the Flood, in the Bible. What’s just as important, though, is the story that immediately precedes it (Genesis 6:1-13). This story describes what humanity was doing before the flood.

I will preach the second sermon in a two-part sermon series entitled, “Before the Flood,” that explores this fascinating story. What do “sons of God” and “Giants” have to do with us today? Their story teaches us how people, in every age, destroy themselves, and those they love. It also teaches us how to prevent it.
