We're taking the stage with the incredible survivor and advocate, Hildy from Upstage Lung Cancer. 

Starting with an accidental slip in some new shoes, Hildy's wild journey led her down a path to an early lung cancer diagnosis. After catching and treating it early enough, Hildy now spends her energy gathering the performing arts community together to help support driving awareness of lung cancer to the general public through her non-profit."We use our breath and our lungs to sing and to talk and we try to have a positive use in that direction." 

What she explains beyond the fact that lung cancer is a leading cause of cancer death and a disease that is likely to impact women, is that lung cancer is also treatable if diagnosed early enough. "Beyond the CT scan, we're looking at much more innovative ways of finding lung cancer early [...] It goes to 22% survival in 5 years to almost 60% survival if you get it at the earliest possible stage"
