Lizzie and Lyra have reached the end of Season 9 of 9-1-1 and thankfully none of our main favs died! But it was giving Grey's Anatomy a little too much. Either way, everyone at the 118 and adjacent is starting on a new path now that they're "done" grieving Bobby. But does this season make sense in the long run?

Lizzie and Lyra aren't bothered that 9-1-1 9x17 is making a Buck a dad. It's how the show got there that's bothersome. Because it proves that 9-1-1 has zero concept of pacing. They just slap things together. You could see it with Theo but also with how soft they were with this ICE storyline.

So is 9-1-1 about realism? Or are we just filling a time slot on ABC? And what's the overall plot of this season?

Lizzie and Lyra had a lot of fun with 9-1-1 "Where There's Smoke" despite some of the heavy circumstances around it. Firstly, they loved how everyone came together like the Scooby Gang to proved Chimney's innocence. That's their Captain. And while he's playing Princess, they're doing everything to clear his name.

Also, Brat Buck. You knew Sam's name. But appreciate the going awake cake. Which, Eddie and the baked goods and then Eddie's kitchen. Just so many moments that reminded these two why they watch 9-1-1!

But these two can't ignore the heavy weight of this episode and how they... don't know where this show is going in Season 9...

Lizzie and Lyra agree that 9-1-1 9x15 "Pick Your Poison" is one of the best episodes this show has ever done. Oliver Stark's acting was top notch as his character Buck struggled with his addiction and the withdrawal that came after. And when he needed help, everyone chipped in, closing ranks and proving that found family is this show's strength.

On non-Buck related notes, we enjoyed Athena's investigation, even if it was a little cheesy. And on May and Ravi, both agree that for Mayravi to work we need to know more about Ravi. Maybe it can be solved by making Ravi a season regular!

Lizzie and Lyra are concerned after the events of 9-1-1 9x14 "D.I.Y." They're concerned about the amount of time that random couple got. They're also concerned about how this show keeps putting Buck and Eddie in situations that scream "this is going to lead somewhere romantic." And they're concerned about whether this show can handle a possible addiction storyline with Buck. Either way, things get heavy here as Buck and Eddie try to find their way after the kidnapping and May tries to find her way in life.

Lizzie and Lyra talk the Buddie fest that was "Mother's Boy," and yes, this is mostly aboutBuck and Eddie. Don't look at us, this is 9-1-1's fault! From the funny montage at the beginning, to the fact that they were happy to spend 30 hours together in a car, without forgetting that their first reaction when both of them woke up was to look for the other, this was giving procedural romance setup. Lizzie and Lyra talk "Dads and Cads" and how the Buckley parents do not deserve the grace Buck extended them. This is not a redemption arc, just acceptance of how bad they are as parents. And, of course, they also talk about the Buddie of it all, both on 9-1-1 and as Eddie and Buck head to Nashville for a crossover with 9-1-1: Nashville. And hey, that was fun... but very light. We don't need to make a habit of it.

The hiatus is over and Lizzie and Lyra are back to talk about 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 11! And a lot of things happened... but did anything really happen? Because week after week, it feels like this show reminds of how little these characters have changed while also giving us monolgues like Hen's about how much they've changed.

Lizzie and Lyra will admit that it felt right to see Eddie actually call Buck after Chris' "kidnapping," May and Ravi clicking, and even the whole Buckley sibling monent. But they still feel lost as to what direction this show is truly going in...
