Tales of Glory

St. Teresa of Avila’s terrifying visions of demons and the dead from her autobiography *The Life*, Chapter 38.

In this powerful teaching, we open one of the most startling passages in the writings of Saint Teresa of Ávila — the Doctor of the Church — where she recounts the supernatural visions God granted her concerning the fate of souls after death.

You’ll discover:

• The vision of two hideous demons surrounding a priest in mortal sin holding the Sacred Host (§ 29–30)

• Why God allowed Teresa to see the power of the words of consecration even in the hands of a sinful priest

• The horrifying sight of a damned soul’s body seized and dragged by a multitude of demons with iron hooks (§ 31–33)

• Teresa’s desperate prayer for a Provincial superior and the sudden vision of his soul rising from the depths of the earth into heaven (§ 34–36)

• Two holy Carmelite nuns ascending immediately to glory

• A Jesuit brother and a faithful Carmelite friar entering heaven without passing through purgatory (§ 39–40)

• How these experiences relate to the Sixth Mansion of *The Interior Castle*

These are not legends. These are the carefully recorded mystical experiences of one of the greatest saints in Church history, written under obedience to her confessors between 1562–1565.

If you have ever wondered what the saints actually saw regarding demons, purgatory, and the particular judgment, this chapter of *The Life* will leave you both sobered and filled with hope.

What does the Bible actually say about ghosts? Are they real human spirits, demons, or something else?

In this in-depth study, we examine ghosts according to Second Temple Hebrew beliefs — the same worldview held during the time of Jesus. Using the Masoretic Hebrew text and the Septuagint, we uncover what Scripture teaches about disembodied spirits, Sheol, necromancy, and the famous Ghost of Samuel in 1 Samuel 28.

You’ll discover:

• The biblical definition of a ghost (disembodied spirit)

• Two types of spirits that can become disembodied: human spirits and hybrid Nephilim/Rephaim spirits

• The structure of Sheol (שְׁאוֹל) — Paradise, Hades, and the Abyss

• Key Hebrew terms: אֱלֹהִים (Elohim), רוּחַ (Ruach), מֵתִים (Metim), רְפָאִים (Rephaim), אוֹב (Ob), and יִדְּעֹנִי (Yiddĕʿōnî / Oni)

• Why God strictly forbade necromancy in Deuteronomy 18 and Leviticus 20 — because it works

• The full account of Saul consulting the medium at Endor and the appearance of Samuel’s ghost

• How modern paranormal investigations compare to biblical commands

• The gift of discernment of spirits (1 Corinthians 12:10) and how to walk in it safely

This teaching draws a clear line between biblical truth and modern ghost hunting, spirit boxes, EVPs, and mediumship.

Whether you’re a Christian seeking biblical clarity, a student of theology, or someone who has encountered the paranormal, this study will give you a solid Second Temple framework for understanding ghosts, demons, and the afterlife.

Following the premiere of the Explorations Supernatural episode 1, “Are GHOSTS Real?”, I did quite a bit of analysis with Abby that didn’t make it into the video. Due to time constraints in the video, much of the analysis was cut out. Now, here is the full video of Abby's meeting, assessing the haunting and its evidence at the psychic shop in Benicia, California. Tales of Glory - Reading of His Word. A simple, informal morning reading of scripture from 1 Samuel, chapters 5-8. Yahweh invokes his judgment on Shiloh and allows the Ark of the Covenant to be seized by the Philistines. In chapter 5, we see evidence of cosmic geography and spiritual warfare in the temple of Dagon. Where God establishes Himself as the creator and superior deity over His creation. The Israelites reject God and His system of Judges.
