An Oran History conducted on July 15, 1979 with the host's maternal grandfather, Frank J Rogers, who was a Sacramento native. He grew up in and farmed in the district known as "The Pocket" in south Sacramento, California. Rogers was the product of parents Albert and Rosa, who both immigrated from the Azores Islands around the time of 1875: he from the island of Pico and she from Terceira.
The other voice in the background besides Rogers and the interviewer is Frank's younger daughter, Aileen Cabral.
