Sad news for the music world, likely good news for the folks in the afterlife...unless he goes back to the street life hold-ups with all his dogs who are in heaven now. My friend Victoria is still living in Brooklyn New York, and of course the concert was in 2000 because the twin towers were still standing and we were both in Texas at the time. There is a good chance we had been drinking at a bar called Ships before driving around downtown looking for trouble...not ok, but that's how we used to roll. It used to be an actual dive, the fact that they have an Instagram account makes me feel sad...

Oh, and DMX was born in 1970 making him 50 years old. Prince Charles isn't actually the other person who died today, it was Prince Phillip. Honestly who gives a fuck, that racist piece of royalty showed his disconnect from the rest of the world so many ways, not least by saying "If you stay here much longer you'll all be slitty-eyed." to a group of British students during a royal visit to China in 1986...
