In Episode 6, Compliance & The Red Tape Worm: There’s more than meets the eye, we meet with special guest, Timika Johnson, Director of Compliance to discuss affordable compliance, reasonable accommodation and modification requests and Violence Against Women’s Act (VAWA).

The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) is a federal law that offers protections for individuals who are victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking, particularly in the context of housing. Under VAWA, housing providers cannot deny residency or evict individuals based on their status as victims of such violence. To comply with VAWA, housing providers should establish a clear policy for handling incidents of violence, train staff to be sensitive and responsive to victims' needs, and ensure confidentiality. It's essential to provide victims with information about their rights and the resources available to them, while also upholding their safety and privacy.

In Episode 5, The Abominable Snowman: Mitigating the Impacts of Winter Weather, I'm meeting with Kevin Nagel, Regional Maintenance Supervisor and Brad Reed, Maintenance Supervisor to discuss how we mitigate the impacts of winter weather events.
