On this episode, Jackie and Tim reminisce about the past seven years of the Attention Retention radio segment. Tim recalls a time when drivers were considered a ‘dime a dozen’ commodity. Things have changed for the better, with drivers being treated with much more respect and appreciation. With turnover rates still in the range of 70-80%, many carriers are now turning their attention from recruitment to retention.

Jackie and the KJ Media team have been able to work with their clients to reduce turnover rates by as much as 40%. She sees that many companies are taking the time to retrain their recruitment teams to ask the right questions at the right time. In one instance, Jackie has seen a carrier distribute regular driver surveys to keep a pulse on drivers’ thoughts.
