Teens will not only be noting differences in the world, they may be specifically seeking increased diversity as they launch into life after high school, whether that involves college or the world of work. Parents or  those in a parenting role can support teens as they make sense of differences among people by having open conversations with them about what they observe and creating trusting, safe space to discuss issues.
