Talking in Circles: Charlotte Review , Track Cleaning, 2016 Rules Package

Listen Later

On tonight's show we talk about the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which was delayed until Sunday. The race was won by Joey Logano, as he'll be the first driver to advance from Round 2, into round three making these next two races much less stressful for Logano.
There were issues for some of the Chasers, as Matt Kenseth, Dale Earnhardt, Jr and Kyle Busch all had problems. Dale Jr slipped in oil on the racetrack which ruined his day. We'll talk about that and give our opinions on how NASCAR dropped the ball with cleaning the racetrack, and how it affected some of the contenders' days.
Also, Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson had an incident on pit road, and Matt Kenseth got into some trouble when he made contact with Ryan Newman which ruined his day. We'll talk about the three of these drivers, and how they need to rebound in these next two races, and what their options will be.
Also, NASCAR Executive Vice President, Steve O'Donnell spoke to the media today in a teleconference and outlined the new rules package for the 2016 season. NASCAR will enact a new low-downforce package for all tracks, except the restrictor plate tracs for the 2016 season. The package for the season will be very similar to what we saw at Kentucky and Darlington. We will discuss this change, and talk about what we expect out of the package.
Also, NASCAR could be making changes to the restart process at Talladega Superspeedway. We'll discuss this, and why we may see changes, and what changes we may actually see.
Also, Busch beer was announced to sponsor Kevin Harvick, they will now only do 12 races, and we'll talk about how that affects NASCAR.
