On this episode of Talking In Circles we break down the Duck Commander 500 from Texas Motor Speedway and take a look at who's hot and who's not. Also we talk about the sudden and surprising drop in tv ratings from Saturday night's race. We discuss why and if that'll be a trend in NASCAR or just a blip on the radar.
Also as we are 7 weeks in the season there are a few drivers who are in the top 20 who are surprising. Aric Almirola, David Ragan, Paul Menard, Danica Patrick, Casey Mears and AJ Allmendinger are all in the top 20. We give you our opinions on who will stay, and who will fall.
Also with some surprises come some disappointments and usually in the middle of the season the crew chief is replaced, not the driver. With that being said we give you guys a few names of crew chiefs who could be in some trouble in the coming weeks.
Also we discuss the changes to NASCAR's All-Star race. Instead of the top two finishers in the event they will go with the two segment winners from each event to transfer from the Sprint Showdown to the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. Also they've added pass event winners who currently runs the full season in the Cup Series. Right now the event is at 20 drivers. But how have these changes helped/hurt the event and what other changes would we like to see in the All-Star race, that's discussed.
