The first day of the NASCAR Media tour produced some big news today as Brian France announced that both the NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will have a Chase format for the 2016 season. There were several other announcements, including one about a 20 minute caution clock in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Brandon and Clayton Caldwell think that the 20 minute caution clock is bad for the sport. They will explain why.
There was also other news announced on Day 1 including Bass Pro Shops sponsoring Martin Truex, Jr for 8 races in 2016 including the 2016 Daytona 500. Plus there will be some heat races during the Dash4Cash events in the NASCAR XFINITY Series.
