Amazon raised all of their employees minimum wage to $15 an hour to keep their warehouse workers and Whole Foods employees from joining a union. Hotel workers in Chicago and Boston are in a union and they are on strike. All they want are wages that let them have only one job, but Marriott doesn't want to give that to them.
