Welcome to part 1 of Episode 16 of Talking Prisoner. Hosts Ken Mulholland and Matt Batten sat down with the legendary Sean Nash who was a Writer and Director on Prisoner. Sean has has written and directed shows such as Home and Away, Neighbours, E-Street, Paradise Beach, Cop Shop, Breakers, Paradise Beach and many more. Sean directed many episodes of Prisoner including the last two episodes and the iconic Episode 692 of Prisoner which we discuss in great length, what it was like on the final day, directing Maggie Kirkpatrick in her final scenes, how other ideas for endings were being talked about, how the cast were on the final days, sets being literally torn down as the final episode was being directed. We also discussed Sean’s life growing up as a child and how he would sweep floors as a job at Crawford’s and work for free to just get his foot in the door. Sean also told us about what it was like to shoot the famous boat episodes on Prisoner and the riot scenes at Blackmoor with Ray Meagher as Governor Craven and the challenges shooting between two locations with Blackmoor.
