As we celebrate NCDHM, Matt chats with Dr. Burton Edelstein about the role that dental hygienists play in improving oral health outcomes. In 1997, Dr. Edelstein created the Children's Dental Health Project as "the voice for children's oral health." Today, he is leading the effort to research how therapeutic caries counseling can reduce disease in children. Listen in to learn more about the many ways dental hygienists can make a difference.
