Thanksgiving is an opportunity to step back from the daily grind of the political cycle, away from the recriminations and finger-pointing, and enjoy some time off with family and loved ones.  So this week, we’re reaching back into the archives to revisit some of our favorite interviews.

We hear from Carol Anderson, a professor at Emory University, who discusses her book, “One Person, No Vote: How Voter Suppression Is Destroying Our Democracy,” and cites examples of ways people are still being denied the vote today.

John Warner, a conservative Republican from Virginia reflects on his 30-year Senate career and his “not guilty” vote that helped acquit President Bill Clinton on perjury and obstruction of justice charges over his actions in the Monica Lewinsky scandal.  

And Craig Shirley, the author of several Ronald Reagan biographies, talks about his latest one, which covers the period between Reagan’s loss for the 1976 GOP nomination to his victory in the 1980 election.
