Today we are fortunate to have with us a newly elected Representative to Florida House District 8 in Tallahassee, Gallop Franklin. Gallop is a pharmacist who graduated from Florida A&M University and later became faculty at the University as well. He has served on the Board of Governors, which makes policies within the University system in the state, and also served as chair for the curriculum committee at Florida A&M. I know everyone is excited to hear a few words from Gallop today as we talk about his journey from pharmacist to politician and discuss ways in which other pharmacists and pharmacy students can get involved in the process.
