Our today's guest Namrata Lalwani, belongs to the blue city of jodhpur (Rajasthan). She is a graduate in economics and business finance. Studied MDP( Entrepreneurship ) from IIM udaipur (class 2018). She was also a part of IIM Bangalore WSP 2018. Her business idea was selected in top 200 pan India. Coming from a prominent family business background and being a part of it, She decided to be a social entrepreneur at an very early age. Apart from business she is a passionate kathak dancer, holding a visharad in kathak from renowned Bhatkhande institute Lucknow.
Nature's Lap is a social entrepreneurship venture. They are working on triple bottom line approach that is
1.People
2.Planet
3.Profits.
Their products are made from GOTS certified 100% premium organic cotton and azo free dyes, which are handcrafted by women artisans. Their products are handloom made. They are working towards shaping the future of textiles, building a completely transparent supply chain, empowering women artisans, and preserving nature. Their manufacturing units comprise of 20-25 female artisans. Their products are great for consumers health, health of our environment and also health of famers who are generally exposed to harmful chemicals which are majorly used in conventional cotton farming.
