John Bell and his daughter (Betsy) began having a haunting experience in 1817 until 1820. Experiences included, stones being thrown at the house, animals howling, scratching at the walls, hair being pulled, being slapped. John claimed that he was having paralysis on his face (with the sides dropping down) and his tongue swelled. He became unable to eat. Even Andrew Jackson stopped by and was able to have experiences of the witch because the stories had so vastly spread.
