We learn about the power of the tongue to destroy and the necessity to tame the tongue. We discuss how James contrasts wisdom from above with earthly, unspiritual, devilish deception that causes jealousy and selfish ambition and results in conflict. James 3 ends with the blessings of “wisdom from above” which results in "the harvest of righteousness sown in peace by those who make peace”, Shalom.
