James has been taking us on a guided tour of what it looks like to live as a “Doer of the Word” (1:22). In Chapter 2, he showed us how doing the Word shapes how we see each other (without partiality) and serve each other (see a need, meet a need). Now in chapter 3, James introduces a lengthy section about how being a doer of the word impacts how we speak to each other. Join us this Sunday as we start a new section in the book of James. Being a Doer of the Word in 2026 means speaking words that are aligned with God’s Word. James 3 will teach us how to tame our tongues and speak as Jesus spoke.
