Surf Report Tampa Florida

Tampa, FL Surf Report for 04-01-2025

Listen Later

Surfers and beach lovers, grab your sunscreen and get ready for a laid-back day along West Central and Southwest Florida's coastline! We're looking at a mellow forecast with minimal drama on the waves.

Surf conditions are about as calm as your grandma's bathtub - we're talking 1 foot or less across all our gorgeous beaches from Cedar Key to Fort Myers. Rip current risk? Super low. But hey, always keep an eye out near those jetties and piers where sneaky currents like to hang out.

Temperatures are playing nice today with coastal areas warming into the mid-70s to lower 80s. Expect mostly cloudy skies this morning with some patchy fog rolling through, but things will clear up nicely by late morning. The UV index is cranking up to very high, so seriously - don't skimp on that sunscreen.

Winds will be cruising from the southwest at 5 to 10 miles per hour, shifting around throughout the day. Water temperatures are sitting comfortably in the lower 70s - perfect for a refreshing dip.

Tide schedules are looking pretty standard. Cedar Key and Saint Petersburg will see their low tides mid-morning and high tides early evening. Fort Myers Beach and Venice Inlet have similar rhythms.

Wednesday's looking even better - mostly sunny skies, temperatures climbing into the upper 70s and 80s, with just a slight chance of a shower sneaking in by late afternoon.

Bottom line: It's a classic Florida beach day. Grab your board, your beach chair, and your sense of adventure. Stay safe, stay cool, and enjoy those waves!
