As young Khmer women, we seek to dissolve the shame of discussing our need for distance from the various aspects of our culture and the entanglement of our families.

To kick off our podcast, we're delving into shame: a concept most of us have come across at some point in our lives and that likely permeates the cultures and societies we find ourselves living in. In this episode, we explore our personal experiences of shame in Khmer culture, where it comes from, how it's passed along, and most importantly, how we can learn to overcome it to live a more authentically life.
