After explaining different methods, of how a person can overcome their animal soul their by bringing themselves closer to G-D, and how to always remain in a state of joy. The Alter Rebbe is now going to focus on the purpose of creation. Which is for us to make this world a home for G-D.

In chapter 35 the Alter Rebbe explains, that a person can struggle with something their entire life, because their specific mission and purpose, is to bring G-D into that part of the world, by overcoming that struggle.
