In this Perek the Alter Rebbe teaches us 2 Chidushim about Ahavas Hashem - loving Hashem.

1. In the presence of Hashem we don't exist and it's only because of his love to us, the Jewish people, he puts aside his presence to allowed us to exist. so to in reciprocating this love to him, we have to not only do that which he wants of us, but we have to put aside that which we want to do, to allowed Hashem to exist within us.

2. If a person feels distant from Hashem, that will allow him to have an even greater love for Hashem, through thinking about, how although he's so low, never the less Hashem brought him near him, like a king taking the lowest of siticenz and bringing him into the palace, into the king's chamber.
