Tareq Haddad is a man who's story one only reads in books. His family had a very successful chocolate factory in Damascus Syria, supplying chocolates to all of the Middle East and internationally. In 2013, Tareq and his family became refugees after the factory was bombed. This journey led them to eventually being placed into Antigonish Nova Scotia, a very rural community 2hrs away from Halifax. They refused to accept the title of victim, and instead continued to help others. An inspiring story of hope.
