Treasury Wine Estates say they are implementing emergency measures to minimise damage after China imposed tariffs of 169 percent on their wine. TWE shares have dived 16 percent since news Beijing was imposing the crippling import taxes following a wine dumping investigation. Most Australian wine exporters are getting slugged with a blanket tariff of 212 percent. Whatever you way you spin it, for almost all companies the tariffs are unworkable.
