👂🏻Colloquial phrases to listen for:

c'est la cata ✨🧩= c'est catastrophique = it's a disaster / we’re screwed. Very colloquial French this.. but then that’s why you’re here! 😊

psychoter ✨ = literally ‘to be psychotic’, but in reality it means to overthink/obsess. The French, always a people of hyperbole and extremes. “Est-ce que tu pourrais aller psychoter ailleurs ?” (Could you go psyche yourself out/have a breakdown somewhere else?)

pioncer ✨= dormir = snooze/sleep. You’ve heard of dormir, but have you heard of pioncer? Snooze is a good equivalent, it’s the familiar way to say someones getting some kip.
